    How to say i love you in Japanese Language.

    In Japan, saying those three little words, even between married couples, is not very common.

    They believe in action and being there for your loved ones rather than saying, “I love you”.

    However, hearing those three little words can make a person’s day and life much better.

    To know that you are being loved can be one of the most amazing feelings you can feel.

    Saying “I love you” in Japanese language, whether it’s to your Japanese best friend, family members,

    or your life partner, has the power to strengthen your relationship with them. And when it’s reciprocated,

    it can warm your heart, fill you with elation and brighten your life.

    The translation of the word ‘love’ to Japanese is ‘ai’. ‘Koi’, also another word for ‘love’,

    is the feeling itself, while ‘ai’ is used when one wants to express his/her love for someone.

    Now, let’s take a look at words that are related to ‘love’-

     

    Admire in Japanese – Mederu 

    Affection in Japanese – Aijou 

    Like in Japanese – Okiniiri

    Dear in Japanese  – Shin’ainaru 

    Passion in Japanese – Jōnetsu 

    Fond in Japanese- Suki 

    Adore in Japanese – Sūhai shimasu 

    Care in Japanese – Kea 

    Sweetheart in Japanese – Koibito 

    Lover in Japanese – Aijin 

    Beauty in Japanese – Utsukushi-sa

    Different Ways To Say I Love You In Japanese

     

    • I love you – Aishitemasu 

    Express this to your Japanese loved ones, be it your dearest companion or lover.

    Let’s assume it whatever number times as could reasonably be expected and would not joke about this.

    Whenever they answer to you with “Watashi mo itoshite iru yo

    which mean “I love you as well” in Japanese, you will see exactly the way that brilliant it feels to hear those words.

    • I like you – Suki da 

    To your platonic friends, saying “Suki da” occasionally will allow them to feel appreciated and they treasure your friendship much more.

    Or on the other hand if you have another girlfriend or boyfriend and you are not in the love stage yet,

    say “Suki da” trailed by a “Shin’ainaru”, which implies dear. Furthermore,

    if you need to emphasize the amount you like them, say “Daisuki da (大好きだ), which means “I truly like you”.
